A new disruption management system developed by Transdev which helps customers make informed choices about their travel was recently announced as a finalist in the 2021 iTnews Benchmark Awards.
The new system integrates several operational systems allowing staff in Transdev’s operational control centre (OCC) to provide customers with information about unplanned disruptions on the network.
OCC staff can generate Tweets about incidents that unexpectedly impact a passenger’s journey allowing passenegers to make informed choices. This is important to help keep passengers safe, informed and to manage anxiety related to delays and disruptions.
Passengers are also able to sign up for email travel alerts for selected routes to ensure they can stay informed and plan their journey.
Daniel Head, Head of Operations said, “When disruptions occur on the network it is essential to provide clear and consistent information.
“The new disruption management system gives our operational control centre team a direct way to communicate information to passengers in a timely way that can help them plan their journey.”
Transdev has also recently appointed new customer-based roles based in our Operational Control Centre to improve customer information and improve the customer experience.
