The Department of Transport announced on 2 April 2020 that to slow the spread of Coronavirus, cash will no longer be accepted across the entire public transport network until further notice.
Customers are still required to travel with a valid ticket, and we encourage all of our customers to top-up before you travel.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and hope you will understand that your safety and the safety of our people always comes first for us.
Customers can top-up before you travel in a number of ways:
- using a myki ticket machine located across the network
- by using a credit or debit card with staff at stations
- through the PTV website at ptv.vic.gov.au, or
- by phone on 1800 800 007
