March - June 2016

 

  • Wednesday 16 March 2016 - further notice: Due to major construction of an extra lane off the Bolte Bridge and along the West Gate Freeway through to the Burnley Tunnel, major delays are anticipated for route 216, 219, 220, 232, 234, 235, 236 and 237 services.

    Delays of up to 40 minutes have been reported in the morning and afternoon peak, particularly when incidents occur as we have seen in the last couple of weeks.

    In addition, services in and around the city area may experience delays due to increased congestion associated with bridge works.

  • Monday 11 April 2016 - Thursday 16 June 2016: Between 9:00am - 5:00pm daily, route 236 services may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to street scaping works on Todd Road (between Williamstown Road and The Boulevard, Garden City). Traffic controllers will be on-site to assist vehicles through the area.

 

  • Monday 18 April 2016 - Saturday 18 June 2016: Route 232 and 903 services may experience delays up to 15 minutes due to lane closures associated with road works on Millers Road, between Beuron Road and Mason Street (Altona North).

    Traffic is anticipated to increase during morning and evening peak.

 

  • Sunday 1 May 2016 - Monday 1 August 2016: Night works between 8:00pm - 6:00am daily will take place along Queen Street and Little Lonsdale Street (CBD). As a result, route 220, 232, 234, 235, 236 and 237 services may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to partial lane closures.

 

  • Sunday 1 May 2016 - Tuesday 30 August 2016: Route 903 services travelling to Altona may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to ongoing road works along the far left-lane of Nicholson Street (Coburg).

    From Bell Street, bus drivers will need to turn left onto Nicholson Street from the middle-lane.

 

  • Monday 2 May 2016 - Monday 1 August 2016: Route 200 and 207 may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to sewerage works on Lygon Street, near Argyle Place (Carlton).

 

  • Monday 16 May 2016 - Thursday 30 June 2016: Due to works on Elgar Road, Mont Albert North bus Routes 281, 293 and 304 will not be servicing the following bus stop from Monday 16 May to Thursday, 30 June 2016:

    >  Elgar Road/Elgar Park

    Customers are advised to use the bus stops at:

    >  Elgar Road/Katrina Street

 

  • Monday 16 May 2016 - Wednesday 15 July 2016: Due to tree clearing works on Orrong Road (Toorak), route 220 services may experience delays of up to 10 minutes between 7:30am and 3:30pm on weekdays between 14 May 2016 and 15 July 2016.

    Traffic controllers will be on-site to assist vehicles through the area.

 

  • Thursday 19 May 2016 - Friday 17 June 2016: Route 200, 207, 250, 251, 302, 304, 305, 318, 905, 906, 907 and 908 services travelling away from the city may expeirence delays of up to 15 minutes due to bus shelter works along Lonsdale Street, between William Street and Spencer Street.

    Partial road closures will be required; buses will continue to pick up / drop off passengers at designated bus stops.

 

  • Thursday 19 May 2016 - Sunday 19 June 2016: Route 200 and 207 services may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to sewer works along Lygon Street (Carlton), between 9:00pm and 5:00am daily.

 

  • Monday 23 May 2016 - Tuesday 23 August 2016: Route 223 services may experience delays of up to 15 minutes  between 9:00am - 7:00pm Monday to Friday, 8:00pm - 8:00am Saturdays and Sundays, due to sewer works at the Williamstown Road and Somerville Road intersection (Yarraville).

 

  • Saturday 28 May 2016 - Sunday 12 June 2016: Route 200, 207, 250, 251, 302, 303, 304, 305, 318, 350, 905, 906, 907 and 908 services travelling into the city may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to NBN ground works along Lonsdale Street, at the corner of Queen Street (CBD).

    Speed restrictions apply; partial lane closures are required.   

 

  • Monday 30 May 2016 - Thursday 30 June 2016: Route 200, 207 and Kew School routes (K50 - K60) may experience delays of up to 20 minutes due to road works taking place across various sites within Kew and Camberwell, 9:00am - 3:30pm daily.

    In the event of partial road closures, Transdev services will be required to share the tram lane.

 

  • Friday 3 June 2016 - Friday 17 June 2016: Route 922 services  may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to utility works along Holyrood Street (Hampton).

 

  • Monday 6 June 2016: The route 600, 922 and 923 bus stop (ID3515) Cheltenham Railway Station / Charman Rd will be temporarily closed from first service to last service.

    Customers are advised to use an alternative bus stop during this period.

 

  • Wednesday 7 June 2016 - Friday 24 June 2016: Route 234 and 236 services travelling towards Queen Victoria Market may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to road works on City Road, between Cecil Street and Clarendon Street (Southbank).

 

  • Thursday 9 June 2015 - Saturday 11 June 2016 - Due to planned roadworks routes 216 and 219 may experience some minor delays. Works will occur along Footscray Road (Docklands Hwy) and Dynon Road.

 

  • Thursday 9 June 2016 - Sunday 19 June 2016: Route 216, 219 and 220 services travelling towards the city may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to powerline works on Dynon Road, near Lloyd Street (Footscray). Lane closures and speed restrictions apply.

 

  • Saturday 11 June 2016 - Sunday 12 June 2016: Route 250 and 251 services travelling towards the city may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to road works on Rathdowne Street, between Queensberry Street and Victoria Street (Carlton).

 

  • Saturday 11 June 2016 - Tuesday 14 June 2016: From 12.01am Saturday 11 June - 4.00am Tuesday 14 June, there will be major works at Camberwell Junction on Riversdale Road, between Burke Road and Havelock/Redfern Road (Camberwell). This portion of Riversdale Road will be closed to all motorists during this period.

    Route 285 services may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to road closures and increased traffic congestion within the surrounding area.

    Route 70, 72 and 75 trams will be affected and tram replacement bus services will be in place for the duration of the major work period. For more details, visit yarratrams.com.au.

 

  • Monday 13 June 2016 - Saturday 18 June 2016: Route 250 and 251 services travelling towards the city may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to bridge works on High Street, at Merri Creek (Northcote).

 

  • Wednesday 15 June 2016 - Thursday 16 June 2016: Route 200 and 207 services may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to power line works on Willismere Road (Kew).

 

  • Friday 17 June 2016: From 7:00am - 4:00pm, route 903 services travelling towards Mordialloc may experience delays of up to 10 minutes due to road works on Southern Road, near Midway Street (Heidelberg West). Lane closures and speed restrictions apply. 

 

  • Friday 17 June 2016 - Thursday 30 June 2016: Route 902 services may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to road works at the Keon Park Station pedestrian crossing. Partial road closures and speed restrictions apply.

 

  • Friday 17 June 2016 - Sunday 19 June 2016: Due to Port Capacity Project works in Port Melbourne, bus Route 236 will be diverted (in both directions) and the following bus stops will not be serviced from 7pm on Friday 17 June, until last service on Sunday, 19 June 2016:

    >  The Boulevard/Barak Road (both directions)
    >  The Boulevard/Cumberland Road (to Garden City only)
    >  The Boulevard/Sandridge Life Saving Club (both directions)
    >  Todd Road/Perce White Reserve (both directions)
    >  Williamstown Road/Pye Street (both directions)

    Customers are advised to use the bus stops at:

    >  Port Melbourne Station/Beach Street (both directions)
    >  Garden City/Centre Avenue (both directions)

 

  • Saturday 18 June 2016 - Sunday 19 June 201: Between 7:00am Saturday 18 June to 6:00pm Sunday 19 June, route 302, 304, 305, 905, 906 and 907 services travelling towards the city / footscray will be diverted due to works along Lonsdale Street, between King Street and Spencer Street.

    Diversion

    Route 216, 219, 220 services toards Footscray: From Lonsdale Street, services will turn left onto King Street, right onto Bourke Street, right onto Spencer Street, then resume normal service.

    Route 302, 304, 305, 905, 906, 907 towards City: From Lonsdale Street, services will turn right onto King Street, left onto LaTrobe Street, left onto Spencer Street, left onto Lonsdale Street (into the terminus). 

 

  • Saturday 18 June 2016 - Sunday 19 June 2016: From 11:00pm Saturday 18 June to 7:00am Sunday 19 June, route 903 services will be diverted in both directions due to CityLink road closures. 

    Diversions

    903 services to Altona: From Bell Street, servives will continue over CityLink and turn left onto Pascoe Vale Road, left onto Woodlands Drive, left onto Bulla Road, then resume normal service.

    903 services to Mordialloc: From Bulla Rd, services will turn right onto Woodlands Drive, left onto Pascoe Vale Road, right onto Bell St, then resume normal service.

 

  • Saturday 18 June 2016 - Sunday 19 June 2016: From 07:00am Saturday 18 June to 05:00pm Sunday 19 June, route 250 and 251, La Trobe University/Northland bound services only, will be diverted around Rathdowne Street. City bound services are not affected.

    Diversions

    250 & 251 services to Altona: From Exhibition Street, services will turn left onto Victoria Street, right onto Lygon Street, right onto Queensberry Street, Left on Rathdowne Street, and then resume normal service.

 

  • Wednesday 22 June 2016 - Friday 24 June 2016: Route 246 services may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to road works on Hoddle Street, outside Clifton Hill Station. Lane closures and speed restrictions apply.

 

  • Thursday 23 June 2016: Thursday 23 June, route 200, 207, 250, 251, 302, 303, 304, 305, 309, 318, 350, 905, 906, 907 and 908 services travelling in both directions may experience delays of up to 15 Minor delays from 4.00pm due to a protest near the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, 2 Lonsdale St, Melbourne.

  

  • Thursday 23 June 2016 - Friday 24 June 2016: From 9:30 am Thursday 23 June to 4:00pm Friday 24 June, route 304, 906, 302, 350, 905, 318, 305, 309 , 908, 207, 200, 250, 251, 907 services travelling in both directions may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to signal work on Lonsdale St between Caledonian Lane and Elizabeth St. 

 

  • Thursday 23 June 2016 - Monday 27 June 2016: From 08:00pm Thursday 12 June to 05:00am Monday 27 June, route 906, 304, 251, 302, 907, 350, 905, 305, 309, 250, 200, 207, 908, city inbound services only, will be diverted due to trenching work on Lonsdale Street Outbound routes are not affected. 

    Diversions

    906, 304, 251, 302, 907, 350, 905, 305, 309, 250, 200, 207, 908 services to city: From Victoria Parade turn left onto Latrobe Street, left onto Russel Street, right on Lonsdale Street and then continue normal services. 

 

  • Saturday 25 June 2016 – Thursday 30 June 2016: From 1:30am Saturday 25 June 2016 to 4:00am Thursday 30 June 2016, major tram track maintenance work will occur on Whitehorse Road, between Weir Street and Banool Road (Balwyn). This portion of Whitehorse Rd will be closed to all motorists during this period.

    Route 284 and 285 services may experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to road closures in the surrounding area, resulting in increased traffic.

  • Monday 1 June 2015 - Wednesday 1 June 2016: From 9:30am - 4:00pm there will be roadworks in Lorimer St Service Lane and as a result Routes 237 and 235 will experience some minor delays. 

 

  • Monday 1 June 2015 - Wednesday 1 June 2016: From 9:30am - 3:30pm on weekdays and 7:00am - 4:00pm on weekends, there will be vegetation work along Springvale Road. Routes 273 and 309 will experience some minor delays due to slower speeds and congestion. 

 

  • Friday 19 June 2015 - Sunday 19 June 2016 - There will be planned roadworks along Russell Street in the city as well as Dynon Road (Cnr Radcliffe Street and Cnr Kensignton Road). Routes 200, 207 and 216, 219 will experience some minor delays. 

 

  • Sunday 21 June 2015 - Tuesday 21 June 2016 - Route 220 will experience some minor delays due to roadworks along Orrong Road and Lucan Street.

 

  • Friday 19 June 2015 - 19 June 2016: Routes 200, 207, 216 and 219 will experience minor delays due to road works taking place along 249 Russell Street (CBD) and Dynon Road (Corner Radcliffe St and Kensington Rd).

 

  • Sunday 21 June 2015 - 21 June 2016: Route 220 may experience minor delays due to soil tests which will take place between 356 Orring Road and Lucan Street.

 

  • Sunday 27 July 2015 - ongoing: Due to road works on Stud Road, Bayswater the following bus stops will be closed, from first service Sunday 27 July 2014 until further notice.

    >  Stud Road/Boronia Road affecting bus Route 664 (towards Chirnside Park). Customers are advised to use the bus stops at Stud Road/Teddington Way or Stud Road/Phyllis Street.

    >  Stud Road/Evans Street affecting bus Route 901 SMARTBUS (towards Melbourne Airport). Customers are advised to use the bus stops at Stud Road/Sheppard Drive or Stud Road/George Street. 

 

  • Thursday 11 September 2015 - Ongoing: Due to construction works on Lonsdale Street, the following bus stops will only be serviced during the listed times by Route 302, 304, 305, 318, 905, 906, 907 and 908 services heading outbound until further notice:

    >  Bus stop at Lonsdale/King Street on the eastern side of the intersection will only be serviced Monday to Sunday, 5am to 7pm
    >  Bus stop at Lonsdale/King Street on the western side of the intersection will only be serviced Monday to Sunday, 7pm to 5am

    Customers are advised to use the alternate stop on the opposite side of the intersection for services outside of the listed times.

 

  • 30 November 2015 - Ongoing: A new bus interchange at Melbourne Airport will open, providing customers with a new undercover bus interchange located at domestic Terminal 4 (T4).

    The existing bus interchange located at Terminal 1 (T1) will no longer be in operation.

    The new T4 bus interchange provides direct access to Tiger Airways, Jetstar and Regional Express services, with all other airlines departing from T1, T2 and T3.

    T4 bus interchange is located approximately 10 minutes’ walk from T1, so customers are reminded to plan ahead and consider additional travel time to access T1, T2 and T3.

    901 services towards Melbourne airport will drop off customers at Bay 16 while 901 services departing from Melbourne Airport towards Frankston will pick up customers from Bay 17. 

 

  • Monday 15 February 2016 - further notice: Due to the Thompsons Road Bus Stop Upgrade, the Thompsons Road/Bulleen Road bus stop (towards the city only) on Routes 200, 305, 905 and NightBus 961 (Doncaster) will be relocated approximately 130 metres east, between Kampman Street and the freeway exit.

Thursday 23 June 2016: Between 9:36am and 10:36am Thursday 23 June, route 200, 207, 250, 251, 302, 303, 304, 305, 309, 318, 350, 905, 906, 907 and 908 services travelling in both directions may experience a minor delay due to a City of Melbourne protest.
